Here is a gallery of my very humble Steelbook collection. Fortunately I’m not a compulsive steelbook collector (as I am with cds) as there are so many steelbooks released these days that it’s hard to resist. Moreover, I setted three rules so the steel hunting is even more fun :
- 1. Steelbooks of movies I truly appreciate
- 2. No G1 size
- 3. At least French subtitles

I too collect steelbooks and have been for about 6 months, you could say I’ve got the bug. Theres something very satisfying about the expensive case and artwork, it makes them highly collectable. Whats your favourite out of your collection?

English cover text where possible.
Only movies I genuinely like.

Same feeling about these nice editions. It’s like with cds, I feel it’s best to have a beautiful edition, it contributes to the album or movie as a piece of art in my opinion, it’s not just a simple object.
I didn’t think about the english text but it’s not so important to my eyes I guess.
My favourite ones among my steelbooks? Hum… Without taking any movie quality into consideration, I’d say…
- Conan : Awesome! Very little text and epic design, embossed/debossed too
- The Shawshank Redemption : No text, beautiful cover image
- The Thing : Debossed…
- Highlander : I love the colors and the pictures they have choosen
- Braveheart
- 2012

Nice collection you have there, my rules are a bit different :
- No G1
- Must have german audio (no disc swap)
- Only movies I like (hardest rule to apply)
- No fantasy prices (like 80€ for the Zombieland Steelbook)

I don’t like swaping discs neither. I should have add the fantasy price rule too.
The wodden stand is just a cheap plate stand/holder you know? EDIT : Actually, it’s not really a plate holder but I can’t tell you where I found this kind of stand or what they are supposed to be used for.
